Windshield wiper motors are DC motors, therefore they can rotate in both directions. When the motor rotates forward, the wiper arm and wiper arm rotate clockwise together; when the motor rotates in reverse, the wiper arm and wiper arm rotate counterclockwise together. Therefore, if the driver needs to change the position of the wiper arm or return it to its original position, this can be achieved by changing the direction of the motor.
